Horse Racing Betting Tips by Richard Saber |

D C TAPIT: Trainer Mike Mitchell dropped Tapit to the bottom in this 25k maiden claimer and got the easy win, there were no claims in for this one time highly thought of gelding, look for Mitchell to find a good spot for him in his next start and get another win.

THE TOWN LADY: May have been best in this mile turf race but had to wait off heels when coming into the stretch, then once clear she split horses and came on fast to be one of three on the line in what was a very good effort for a horse who looks to be getting better with racing.

WELKEN: Jockey Mike Smith took a big hold on this filly who had a ton of run in her, he took her back while the winner was on an easy lead, he then swung four wide into the stretch and lost more ground but Welken came storming down the lane and was gaining on the winner with every stride but just failed to get there by a half length.

DAVES REVENGE: Hopped in a slow start and angled in to save some ground, she split horses on the backstretch and looked to be making a big run but had to steady off heels, she tried to come back on but could not get going and had to settled for a better than looked fourth place finish. No mistakes for this girl next time out with a clean trip.

FANDINO: Was coming off a layoff for trainer Julio Canani but took plenty of action and just did fail to run down the speed losing by the slimmest of necks but was almost four lengths clear of the rest. This guy will be a great single in his next start and a great bet if he gets an outside post. $$$$$

ROCK SOLID KING: Is the stablemate of Fandino and was making his first start in the same race but he hesitated at the start and was off dead last, his jockey Pedroza did not put a hard ride on him and this race is a toss out, look for a big run next time out.

CARNIVAL QUEEN: Broke very slow and was far back and in another galaxy in this downhill turf sprint, she looked like a rocket when making her late run but had to check in midstretch, she swung out and closed like a flash and just did miss the place by a nostril and the whole enchilada by a half length.

FORTHREEFOREUCLID: Won his last start which ended up being a key race and came back here and won in fine style despite bobbling at the start, this one looks to be a big force in the future for trainer O’Neill.

HAVENS LAKE: Big time effort for this 8k claimer as she was checked and blocked but once clear came on for the big win at almost 6-1, she could move up and repeat.

DOMINANT CURRENCY: Ran big in her first start finishing second but came back today and never ran a step at 5-2, she may have bounced so we will give her a big shot next time out to rebound in a big way.

STASH: Won so easy on the front end it was scary in this 25k claimer, Mike Mitchell must have none as he put up the 25k and she now goes in his barn, look out! $$$$$

FAST EYDIE: Was 8-1 on the morning line but got hammered at the betting windows and left the gate at 2-1 and won like odds on.

FIRE N’BRIMSTONE: Had a nice prep here off the layoff and could be ready for her best next time out.

PENNY DO RIGHT: Just ran huge against the speed bias losing by a head, he will win next time out on a fair strip.

CONNEMARA: Todd Pletcher Kentucky Derby hopeful ran huge in here against the bias and being whipped out at the start, he made a spectacular late run to win going away.

WAKAN TANKA: Was in from Santa Anita and dropped to this 8k maiden claimer, he was let go at 11-1 and won for fun for the sharp Steve Sherman who got away with one here as there were no claims. $$$
