HOLLYWOOD PARK

ZIVA: Won at first asking for trainer Kory Owens who has been deadly with his first time starters. Has the looks of a girl who can come right back and score.

THINKING OF GIRLS: Almost popped at 49-1 out of the one hole in this 6½ furlong 40k claimer, but he got nailed on the line. Was a clear second and in top form. Could come right back at a big price here at Holly Park.

MR. BOSSY PANTS: Was last seen running fourth here last November. He won like a good thing off the long layoff going down the hill at Santa Anita. Should be able to duplicate that win on the Hollywood 6 furlong turf course.

PAYETTE: First time starter out of 13 post broke right on top, but was caught four and five wide the entire trip. She hung in there finishing fifth in 13 horse field. Looks like a runner for trainer Vann Belvoir.

BATALHA: First time starter for trainer AC Avila who don’t send many “firsters” out. This filly had Chantal Sutherland in the irons and I really like her hook up with AC. This girl ran a nice even race finishing fourth just missing the show dough by a head. Will be ready to win next time out at Hollywood. $$$$$

EULA B.: Speed was at a disadvantage here at Santa Anita, but this filly ran her heart out on the front end just getting beat at the wire. Finished more than five lengths clear of the rest of the field. She will be a solid single next time out at Holly Park.

ONEBADBOY: Ran a winning race in this 20k maiden claimer, but could not catch the 6-5 chalk on the line. Was more than four-lengths clear of the rest and looks like a next out winner.

GOLDEN GATE FIELDS

FOREVER ROARS: Was fanned five wide when making her big move on the turn and that cost her the race. She continued to run and just missed the place by a neck and the win by a half length. Put this girl on your next out win list. $$$.

DOVER CROSSING: Maiden taking her first shot at going long. Her first on the grass in this mile turf race exploded down the lane in an eye catching move. Won going away despite being caught in heavy traffic on the second turn and having to wait for room. Has the looks of a filly that has found her home on the grass.

CHECKOUTMYMAN: Had to take back on the turn and was next to last turning for home in this 12 horse field going five furlongs. She unleashed a huge late run picking up the show dough. Has a big shot next time out with a clean trip.

POWER OF NINE: Del Mar shipper just did miss by a nostril last time out. Will be very hard to beat next time out.

CARDINAL’S GOLD: Was looking for a turf race, but this mile race was moved to the main. He made a big late run coming from last to third in a flash. This is one to keep an eye out for if he gets a shot going long on the green. $$$

RATHSALLAGH BRIDE: Was blocked and had to be checked hard at the turn. Found room on the outside and then shot through traffic. Ran them all down in what was a big time win.
