HAVA CIGAR: Was down on the inside and had a good stalking position but got shuffled back when caught between horses. Moved to the outside and made a nice late run. Has the looks of a next out winner.

VIRGINIA WAY: Ran a winning race but just could not hold off the winner. Lost by a half length, but 2½ clear of the rest in this 12 horse field. This filly will go wire-to-wire in the very near future and looks like a solid single next time out.

WHAT A RUSH: Was bet like a good thing off the layoff for trainer AC Avila and jockey Chantal Sutherland. Battled tooth and nail the entire trip in this 6½ furlong sprint, but had to settle for show dough when one of their heads on the line. What A Rush was dead game till the finish and will be a short price winner next time out. $$$$$

CAPTAIN OBVIOUS: Was in from Ireland for trainer Ben Cecil in the 100k Real Quiet. When the gate opened this colt stood there and was off last. Made a little run down the lane and will be ready for action next time out for big Ben Cecil.

NICOS MEMORY: Was bumped and steadied hard when squeezed out at the start. This filly’s day looked like it would be over, but settled nicely down on the inside. Came further out in upper stretch and raced home fast to get the good win. Seems to like it here and could come right back for a repeat win for trainer Doug O’Neil, who is overdue to heat up. $$$

TANGERINE TICKLE: First time starter for trainer Marty Jones in this 6 furlong turf sprint for maiden 2yo fillies. Looked good on the track but was let go in the wagering at 14-1. Flew home despite a very troubled trip getting up on the line with a four wide move. This filly is a real runner. I love these 2yo races on the grass as there were some real good prospects. Could turn out to be a key event. Some of the 2yo fillies we will look for are MY SWEET CANDY the second place finisher and LOVESTEALER (fifth). Keep an eye open for exiting fillies.

SAVANNA WILD CAT: Ran a super race in this 8k maiden claimer when winning going away despite a ton of trouble. This filly could come right back and score at a price.

MOVE OVER MARINO: Moves into a high end barn off a good third in this 4k sprint. Look for this guy to go wire-to-wire next time out.

MAJESTIC HALO: First time starter for trainer Tim McCanna ran a winning race, but had no shot at running down the 9-5 lone speed. Will get there if she finds a little pace to run at next time out. $$$

MIRACLE ROAD: Ran huge in this mile race, but just did fail to last. This filly is in top form and a must use next time out.
