GATHERATTHEALTER: Ran a better than looked race last time out. Trainer Bob Baffert made a rare claim as his jockey Martin Garcia must have alerted Bob that this guy may be a runner. Look for Baffert and Garcia to hook up and get that 32k back in a hurry at Santa Anita.
OUR LAST MONTE: Was last seen running at Santa Anita in March. Trainer Darrell Vienna gave this one a real good prep in this 20k maiden claimer. Has him geared up to win next out at Santa Anita in a low level claimer.
FLUXX: Trainer Peter Miller took the blinkers off for this start and Fluxx settled nicely next to last in this 10 horse field going 1 1/16 on the grass. She made a nice late run just missing the show dough. This girl has some talent and they are trying to find her correct style. This may be it as she could pop next out at a price on the Santa Anita grass. $$$
CROSSING THE LINE: John Sadler gave this one a real nice race on the Hollywood six furlong turf course. He now has him geared up for a winning run down the hill at Santa Anita. Will be a solid single next time out with Bejarano in the irons. $$$$$
MARK THE BENCH: Was back in town after a spell up North. Ran a real good race in finishing second, losing by a half a length after leading from the bell. Was claimed for 25k by Mike Mitchell who will have him perfectly spotted for the win next out at Santa Anita.
SANDOR: First time in the U.S. for trainer Carla Gaines, who rarely gets these type of horses in her barn. This guy just ran super despite being steadied hard when making a big move on the inside. Was taken to a dead stop but switched to the outside and re-rallied to pick up the place. This one is a runner and will be hard to beat next time out.
SILVER STREET: Made her last start at Santa Anita in October and it was a winning one. She was breaking from the 10 post and broke right on top, but wide. Had to take back and ran an even race after that. Finished third while going willingly till the wire. She will be ready for the win next time out in a mid level claimer.
ZANBO: First time starter going six furlongs on the Hollywood turf. Caught her best stride late and just came flying to finish fourth, beaten by a length and a half for all the marbles. This filly will love the Santa Anita downhill course.
SIR ED: Another who was last seen winning at Santa Anita. Has a nice set up race here, but needs to relax and make one late run as you will see next time out.
HELP ME HANNAH: First time starter showed big early speed in this 20k maiden claimer and held for the win. Was claimed by Vann Belvoir who can pop with horses first.
