CUPID’S BLING: First time starter for trainer John Sadler hopped at the start and was wide the entire trip. Really never found her best stride. The price will be right on this one next time out. Will rebound in a big way.

ISLAND PARADISE: Was coming off a layoff for trainer Paddy Gallagher and got completely left at the gate. From far back made a huge run from last at the ¾ pole to second in a flash. Look for this girl to run huge next time out maybe in a little stakes race. $$$$$

MEGARIDE: Really had no shot at the runaway lone speed in the 1 1/16 route. Did finish a clear second by more than five lengths.

SWIFT EAGLE: Really wanted to run as he was pulling jockey Gomez out of the saddle. Garret took a strong hold and had to steady him hard. Was last until the top of the lane and made a quick run to miss second by a nostril. With a good break this one will be very hard to beat next time out. $$$

D J DAVE: Just love the nice even race this Mike Mitchell first time starter ran. He never lost or gave any ground, but continued willingly to the wire. Next time out he will be a solid single. $$$$$

CLEARANCE CLARENCE: Gelding is in the best form of his life and has the looks of a horse that can run on any surface at this 25k claiming level. If kept at or around this level he could come right back and get another win.

RAUSCHENBERG: Loves sprinting on the grass and really likes this 6 furlong turf oval. Sat far back and looked to be beaten, but made a furious late run to win going away under a long Gomez hold. Had plenty left in the tank. Will be there next time out.

ATTICUS JACK: Was last seen winning at Fairplex last September. Came out running today and would have won except for the huge performance from Rauschenberg.

MORE CHOCOLATE: First time starter ran a better than looked race despite a very wide trip that Gomez gave her. It’s a trip he seems to be giving every horse he rides of late. This girl had some late run in her and will be right there in next start maybe going long on the grass.

A PINT FOR MARY: Was sprinting five furlongs, not the best distance for her. She was making a big late run, but forced to circle the field five wide. Was picking off her rivals at the end finishing third. This girl will go much better for her new connections at a little longer distance. $$$

ASTUZIA: Just missed at 8-1 going 1 1/16 on the grass and losing in a three horse blanket finish. This filly is in top form and loves the grass. $$$

SELLERIA: Shipper closed a lot of ground late splitting the field but was eight clear of the rest. With this race under her belt she will be a very hard girl to beat next time out.
