CAMINETTO: Bob Baffert first time starter with his new main jockey R. Bejarano riding was sent off as the 9-5 chalk but failed to run down the .80 cent on the dollar speed ball Jimmy Creed. He did finish a strong second ahead of his stablemate In Deep who was coming off a long layoff. Both of these horses will win at Del Mar and if Baffert puts them in the same race once again they could finish one two. $$$

PRINCESS ASH: In this maiden race Baffert ran two once again, but he did finish first and second winning with the odds on choice Smart and Single who really looks like a big time prospect. He finished second with Princess Ash off the layoff. Ash showed high speed leading from the bell, but just could not hold off her stablemate who blew by her down the lane on a track that just was not favoring front runners. Princess Ash will be one tough girl in her next start and a solid single. $$$$$

ROYA RAJA: Just got very antsy and washed out at the gate. He then had trouble finding room and had to make a four wide run into the stretch making up ground late picking up the show dough. This guy is much better than this race. If he can keep his composure he will be right there next time out.

BLUE JAY ATTACK: Has not been able to get the job done sprinting on this 6 furlong turf course. Made his late run, but had too much ground to make up down the stretch. His last race was his best and maybe the switch to Del Mar will get him to the winners circle.

BRINGON THE WAIN: Made a big four wide run down the lane and came home like a freight train gaining on the winner with every stride coming up a neck short. He was more than five lengths clear from the rest of the field in what was a winning effort. Will be ready for a trip to the winners circle next time out.

EXULTANT: John Sadler comebacker ran huge, but just could not hold off the fast closing odds on winner at this 6 furlong turf course. This colt will be a solid single and should go wire to wire next time out sprinting on the Del Mar turf course. $$$$$

MENSA HEAT: Just had a horrible trip in this race, but still made a good late run picking up the show dough in a very crazy race. Was claimed for big time money ($62,500) by Doug O’Neill, who must have something big in mind for him at Del Mar.

DANCE TEAM: Richard Mandella first time starter took plenty of action and would have won on most days in this 6 furlong turf sprint. Could not keep up with the freaky winner Heir Kitty, who ran them into the ground. Dance Team was a solid second and should win next time out.
