WOODMANS LUCK: He was breaking from 10 post in this mile race and had a wide trip the entire distance. He ran with determination just missing by a neck in what was a winning effort.

OUTSIDE NASHVILLE: First time starter for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer ran huge in defeat finishing a very game third, missing by a half length. Will be very hard to bet next time out.

FANTICOLA: First time starter for trainer Mike Mitchell broke slow, then settled down on the inside. Came out into the stretch making a big late run to be a clear second behind the winner. This filly looks like a real runner and will be hard to deny in start number two.

SALTY FORECAST: Chased from off the rail, but had to be steadied hard off heels on the turn. She moved up along the rail and finished fast to get the place money. Had no shot at the lone speed. Maybe next time.

PRIVATE BOUNTY: Showed good speed from the 11 hole and won with a lot left in the tank. Was claimed by the sharp Vann Belvoir, who will have him placed for the win first off the claim.

GIANT STEPS: Was bumped and had to be steadied hard at the start so lost all chance. He did improve his position in the late going. Look for a better effort next time out.

BIG SON OF A GUN: Won like a good thing in this $12,500 claimer despite having a wide trip. Was claimed by the very sharp Vladimir Cerin, who will wheel him back for another win.

US CITIZEN: Battled tooth and nail from the bell in this 5 furlong turf sprint. He put away the other speed, but could not hold off the two closers. This guy will win next out if able to clear early.

AUNT GERT: Ran a much better than looked fourth in this 20k maiden claimer. This filly looks to be sitting on a win at what will be a big price. $$$

ARABIAN STORM: Was in from Turf Paradise for trainer John Sadler. Surprised them at 11-1, winning like a good thing. Trainer Hector Palma claimed this gelding and he can score in first outing since purchase.

RANSOM CANYON: Continues to have bad luck finishing second after a six wide trip. He will score in the very near future.

BUFFALO BILLY: Finished behind Ransom Canyon, but was running on late with interest. Another that is sitting on the right pace scenario for the score.
