SANTA ANITA

CAYANNA: Looked perfectly spotted in this 6 1/2 furlong downhill turf sprint but just could not run down the odds on lone speed. She was claimed out of this race for 32k by Doug O’Neil and this looks to be a very timely pick up, look for Doug and buddies to get a quick return on their investment.

SHAND: Just loved this filly in this 50 maiden claimer at 9/2, she ran her race but just did fail to get the winner by a neck in what was a big effort, she is sitting on the win and will be a solid play next time out. $$$$$

IDONTROLLONSHABBOS: He settled down on the inside in this $12,500 claimer and then moved up along the rail on the turn, he swung out for room and out further in upper stretch and came on strong and was getting to the winner late. He was claimed out of this good effort by Victor Garcia who will have him spotted for the win next time out.

IN THE STARS: Freakish performance by this filly as she drew clear down the lane under a Nakatani hand ride, this filly will be heading to stakes company next time out and we will follow her at the windows.

TIZ A MINISTER: Was far, far back and next to last at the 3/4 pole when lacking room off heels in upper stretch, he swung out for room and unleashed a big late run somehow getting up for the place money in a big effort.

TRAVESURA: Third-time starter was tying grass for the first time and the downhill turf course, she took some action and won like the smart money was bet despite bobbling at the start and being bumped hard just drawing clear down the lane while just being shown the whip by the comeback kid Tyler Baze. $$$

HURRICANE LAKE: Chased outside and then off the rail on the second turn but got fanned out into the stretch and lost two positions, he came back on and rallied between horses getting up for the show dough and just missing the place by a half length, next time he gets the money.

SECRET MOTIVE: Ran a much better than looked race in this straight maiden 2yo filly race going down the hill finishing fourth losing the show by a neck and the place by a half and the win by a length and a half despite having to make a big wide move turning for home, with a jockey switch she will get the money next time out but could pull it off with Arias still in the irons. $$$
