SANTA ANITA

BELLA ROJA: Was last seen at Keeneland in April but showed up at Hollywood on Dec. 20 and got a real nice prep going six furlongs on the grass and that race sets her up perfectly for a big run on the down hill Santa Anita turf course.

A JEALOUS WOMAN: The last two days at Hollywood they were not afraid to show their hand as they just pounded some horses in the early betting and they got there, this was one of them and she won like a good thing and is another who will love the downhill Santa Anita turf course.

RIGHT TO WORK: Was another that just got hammered in the early betting, the first flash she was 2-1 but eased up to 17-1 at post time but won like 2-1, trainer O’Neill has this girl in top form.

TURF AND SKY: Ran lights out in this 11/16 allowance 40k optional claimer, he has the looks of a horse that is going up the ladder and is a must follow and jockey Talamo fits him like a glove.

CLOSE TO THE EDGE: First time starter out of the Jeff Mullins barn almost pulled off a huge upset at 39-1 but could not run down the odds on lone speed but was five lengths clear of the rest of the field and could be a very good bet in start #2. $$$$$

TIZ CHROME: New Bob Baffert acquisition for big time owners had just broke his maiden at Churchill Downs, he was bet like the race was over and it was. This one could be just another Baffert trainee that will be on the Kentucky Derby trail and is a must follow. $$$$$

UFFIZI: Was exiting our HTW list and was being dropped off the win by Mike Mitchell and that is one of his best moves as he won and paid $7.60. Mike loves to drop and win and he could do it again, if so be not afraid and just go to the window and bet.

GOLDEN GATE

STARBOARDLIGHTS: Was exiting the same race as the odds on Go Baroque who was exiting our HTW list, he could not handle Go Baroque as he broke slow but shot up to contention from the inside but had no room, once clear he made a big late run for the place money. This guy will be a very good single next time out. $$$$$

PLEASANT PROSPECT: Had a very eventful trip in his last race but now gets a new barn off the claim, would like to see him on the grass if so upgrade his chances big time.

LOOKIN EVEN FINER: First time starter for trainer Dean Pederson and top owner Bob Bone who don’t have many lately, ran her eyeballs out despite big trouble, she will not lose next time around the oval with a clean trip. $$$$$
