MYWAYORTHECAUSEWAY: First time starter hesitated at the break and was far back in last. He swung four wide into the stretch and unleashed a big late run to somehow get up for second in a super effort. $$$

TALK THE WALK: Exits the same race as the above horse. Talk the Walk broke out at the start and then dueled tooth and nail until deep stretch while down on the inside. Just did lose the place on the line. If able to clear next time out he will be gone. $$$$$

CHAMPIONS GATE: Was let go at 20/1 in this downhill turf sprint. He broke good and was sitting in fourth, but lost several positions when stuck four wide on the turn. Came on strong late, picking up the place money in a very good effort. He could pop next time out at a fair price.

TAMARACK SMARTY: Exits the same race as Champions Gate. This guy was just too far back in this race, but came on late with a big run finishing a much better than looked sixth. Was claimed by Mike Mitchell for 25k and there are few better than Mike in the claim game. Look for him to have Smarty placed for the win next time out.

HANDSOME DENNIS: Doug O’Neill first time starter named for brother Dennis broke slow on this wet track and that sealed his shot at the win. Did put in a nice late run finishing a clear third, just missing the place by a ½ length. This colt can run and will be hard to beat next time out. With a good break, look for Dennis in the winning circle. $$$

JADE WITH ENVY: Broke last and stayed there on this wet track. He made a little run down the lane, but really never got into the race. Look for this filly to be a big number next time out as she could pop at boxcars. Long shot special.

HAIL MARY: First time starter won like a pro while on cruise control down the lane. A long hold late, she had plenty left in the tank. Look for her to come back and repeat.

EGG DROP: Talented filly was coming off the long layoff. She broke in the air at the start and lost all shot, but finished full of run to place third. Lost by little over a length and she may have won with a good break. This filly will be a solid single next time out. $$$$$

TREASURY BILL: This colt looks like a future star for trainer Ron Ellis, who did away with this good group of straight maidens. He is bred to run all day and will be very hard to beat going long next time out. May be in stakes company. $$$$$

TRIBAL DRESS/KISSY KITTY: First time starters finished second and third both showing good ability, but they could not handle the 6/5 chalk in here. They will not be maidens for long.
