INTAPA: Filly was coming off 8 months on the shelf but the bettors did not seem to mind as they pounded her down to the 8/5 chalk. She made a big five wide run into the stretch as she circled horses and stormed down the lane to get the win. Sadler has this girl in tip top form and she will come back to win again.

STARSPANGLED HEAT: Loves this downhill turf course and just failed to get up by a head at almost 10-1 last time out when the winner got the jump on him down the lane. A must use in the exotics whenever he shows up on this course.

TEBOWING: Broke slow and looked hopelessly beaten at the top of the stretch when last. He made a four wide run and came home like a freight train to get the win for trainer Mike Mitchell and his future son in law Julien Leparoux. This filly has a lot of upside and will be tough on the grass going long. Winner next time out.

MISS PIPPA: A John Sadler comebacker that did not win, but could have with a better trip as jockey Bejarano just never got her into a good spot. She did run good late, finishing a solid fourth beaten a length and a half for the win. This filly will be a solid single next time out. $$$

MY SWEET ADDICTION: Filly had the misfortune of running into Midnight Lucky a Baffert first time starter who just crushed these girls by more than seven lengths. My Sweet Addiction was a solid second almost 6 lengths clear of the rest. We will be betting her with gusto next time out while Midnight Luck will be looking for some stakes company. $$$$$

GOVENOR CHARLIE: Ran a remarkable race battling head to head nose to nose with the even money chalk the highly regarded Footbridge. He was headed past the eighth pole but battled back and got the win. This colt has a ton of fight.

DICE FLAVOR: While Baffert and Pletcher seem to have a lock on this year’s Kentucky Derby we have always liked this colt. He proved his worth with a big score in the Camino Real at Golden Gate and his closing style makes him dangerous as the distances get longer.
