ESENTEPE: Was exiting this list. She broke a step slow and tugging away at jockey Nakatani who had a tight hold on her. She chased from the outside, came out into the stretch and zoomed home. Lost the bob in a very tough defeat. This girl has talent and we will keep her on our watch list.
ETHNIC DANCE: Really liked this colt here but as luck would have it he bobbled at the start and the even money speed got the jump on him. He chased but the lone front runner got away. DANCE finished a winning second more than seven lengths clear of the rest. No mistakes next time out. This one will be a solid single. $$$$$
SHAMEFULLY SINFUL: First time starter took some action and lagged back in this 5½ furlong sprint for 30k maidens. She got into stride turning for home and finished with a strong rally. Picked up the place money some 3 ¼ lengths clear of the rest.
BROTHER PETE: This first time starter out of the barn of John Sadler was well bet and well meant. He broke inward at the start in this 6½ furlong downhill grass sprint and then pulled the jock hard as he wanted to be let loose. He took a short lead down the lane, but just could not hold off the winner and lost the place late. With this race under his belt he will be one tough customer next time out. $$$
DOINGHARDTIMEAGAIN: Just blitzed the field in the Evening Jewel winning going away under a hand ride by Bejarano. This one is in the best form of his life. Will come back and score.
MCALLISTER BOYS: May have been best in the March Madness Handicap but the wide trip got the best of him and he had too much work to do down the lane. Kept to his task losing by less than a length. Next time with a better trip.
BOLLER BOMB: Was testing the grass for the first time and his breeding by Unusual Heat said if the weather is fine can do. And, he did at 15/1. Look for trainer AC Avila to keep this one on the green. He could pop again at another good price. $$$
MILLIE’S TOPPER: Liked Millie in this race and released her on our daily horse selection in the early pick four. She got there triggering our $886.50 pick four win. Will come back and repeat.
