HE BE FIRE N ICE: Was getting his second start of the long layoff and now going a mile on the grass. Let go at 8/1, he ran huge getting the very game win by a half a length. This one could come back and score again on the grass at another good price.

ROXELANA: She sat back very relaxed, came out into the stretch for some racing room and went wider in upper stretch. Made a good late run to be a clear third. With this race under her belt she looks set for a winning run next time out. $$$

TIGAH: He was squeezed off at the start and dead last. Chased outside and then got caught between horses on the second turn. Came three wide into the stretch and made a nice late run to pick up the show dough missing the win by a length. This one is in top form and with a clean trip will win next time out.

GONNA FLY NOW: Had not been seen since last May. He jumped out of the gate from the 10 post to stalk the pace while caught wide to the stretch. Continued on with good energy just missing the place money on the bob and the win by a half length. He may have been best in here and will be one to tough customer next time out. $$$$$

HAVERHILL: Was in from Gulfstream Park landing in the barn of Peter Miller who had him in tough in this his first start on the West Coast facing the likes of Italian Rules. He ran a bang up race finishing third losing by a length for all the marbles. If able to clear next time out he will be gone gone gone!

ITALIAN RULES: One amazing horse who rarely runs a bad race. He looked the winner in this race but chased down late by Kate’s Event who put in a freakish effort. Italian Rules was claimed for $62,500 by John Sadler who lost him for 40k, so he must really love this one.

TRICKY SHANE: Shipped in for Doug O’Neill looking for a grass race but was instead run on the synthetic surface. He left him in the race and wound up winning going away. This gelding may have found a home here and we will be all over him next time out probably in a starter allowance race turf or main. $$$$$

HARLAN’S SWEETIE: Trying the grass for the first time and took to it like a duck to water crushing this 10 horse field by two widening lengths at 27/1. We look for her to come back and score again.

DIAMOND OF BLUE: Got caught at the wire on the bob by the old pro Cost of Freedom. Find it very interesting that Southern California trainer Ron Ellis claimed this one. He must have a good spot in mind for Diamond of Blue. $$$
