CAF… CON LECHE: First time starter was big steam but could only muster a fifth place finish. Look for him in the winners circle in the very near future.

STEAM IRON: Talk about a filly that really wanted to run, this girl was just pulling the jock out of his saddle while stuck down on the rail. She was in tight on the turn when, just full of run, she swung out for room and stormed home for an eye catching win. $$$$$

SOUVENIR SLEW: Ran his heart out but just failed to run down the lone speed, missing by less than a length. If he gets some space to run at next time he will win.

ALICE: First time starter for John Shirreffs broke slow and awkward and was far back in another galaxy. She gradually started to make up ground and made a bold rally in the stretch storming down the center of the track in the final furlong, and somehow picked up the place money in what was a super effort. $$$$$

COATCHECK GIRL: Freaked in her first try on the grass going long. This girl looks like she can move up and repeat if left on the green.

DETAILS R SKETCHY: Was one of two for Carla Gaines in this five furlong turf sprint. This one was owned by Burt Bacharach and his wife Jane and was best in this race despite losing by a neck to his stabalemate. No mistakes for him next time out.

CHELCEE’S HOPE: This mare was racing in foal and ran like she liked the condition she was in, and loving the Del Mar grass. We would love to see her one more time.

PICO PICO: Is in top form and sitting on the maiden breaker. He just could not run down the lone speed last time out on a speed favoring track but could be a single in his next start.

GOOD NEWSMAN: Had a horrible trip finishing far back. Give this guy another shot next time out and just toss this race.

UNUSUAL DOLL: One of many winners on this Del Mar track by sire Unusual Heat. This girl ran huge in victory despite trouble and looks like a repeater if her trainer brings her back one more time.

KALI: First time starter out of the Lloyd Mason barn broke slow but was quickly in stride and won this race with a lot left. This one can move up and beat winners.

UNDERSOLD: Was last seen running at Belmont Park but showed up here in this 8k maiden claimer and just blitzed them while not even being asked. No claims as trainer Peter Miller put this one over. $$$$$

THECATCHECKEDRAISED: Was stalking down on the inside and moved into contention at the head of the stretch, but could not get through and was shuffled back. He got in tight once again but came back on late.

SHE LAUGHS AN FLYS: Was close-up battling for the front end but had to be checked hard off heels and dropped back. Got going once again and came back on for the win in what was a very strong effort.

BARTOK’S BLING: Won with ease while not being asked for her best.
