MISS FAST EDDIE: First time starter out of the barn of Doug O’Neill took some action. Could not run down the lone speed in here, but was slowly gaining at the wire. This filly will love the Santa Anita dirt course and will be hard to beat next time out.

RUSHOMATIC: Sadler don’t send out many here at Fairplex, but he sent this 2yo filly first time starter out well with Ricardo Jamie in the irons. She ran big but was another who could not run down the lone speed. Finished a clear second some 5 lengths in front of the rest. $$$

CONTROLLED CHAOS: Was in a bit tight in the early going and lost several positions which is a bad thing here at Fairplex. She made a five wide run into the stretch and just inhaled her rivals. Drew away with something left in what was a huge effort. She was claimed for 25k by O’Neill. Looks to be a real good pick as he retained ownership also. $$$$$

RELENTLESS HEAT: Peter Miller runner cruised to an easy wire to wire win in the optional claiming race and will be set for a big run down the hill at Santa Anita.

UNUSUAL TALENT: Sat back off the pace and then circled the field with a five wide run, but had to be checked when drifting in down the lane. Once straightened, he came on again but was too late. If he can stay straight he will get the win next time out going long on the grass.

MISS LAFAYETTE: Nakatani made the trip here to ride this maiden trained by Craig Dollase. This was his only mount of the day so there was a reason. This filly won for fun and will be on her when she returns going long on the grass. $$$$$

VANUATU: First time starter made a big four wide run on the turn but got fanned widest of all into the lane. She regained her best stride and came flying late for second in a big time depute. $$$

JEWEL SEEKER: Just missed by a nostril moving down the lane in an eye popper at 26/1. She will be the one next time out.

RATHBAUN: Was let go at 23/1 and finished full of run to just miss beating the Baze 8/5 shot on the line. This trainer Mason looks to be heating up and this horse along with all of his horses are live.
