BUD I CRUSHED IT: Looks to be getting better with every start and his connections have high regard for him, look for a big effort in his next start and the price will be a good one.

BELLA ROJA: Was exiting our HTW list and went off at 8-1 in this 6½ furlong downhill race on the grass, she was between horses and had to check but split foes past midstretch, she got to the front and won as much the best paying a nice $18. We will keep this girl on our list as she looks to love this downhill turf course. $$$

HEROI DO BAFRA: One time big gun was being dropped big time by trainer Mitchell but this has been one of his best moves and he almost pulled it off as he came flying five wide down the lane and was one of three on the line and dead heated for the place. There were no claims so look for a slight move up and score. $$$$

PRETTY UNUSUAL: It was Abrams and Sutherland the tandem that I said you must keep your eye open for and this one paid a lot of bills going off at $29.70/1 paying a whooping $61.40 winning with something left.

HIGH SUCCESS: Was another one exiting our HTW list and this guy got off at almost 5-1, he came four wide into the stretch, split horses nearing midstretch and rolled down the lane to win going away. We will keep him on our list as he is in top form for trainer O’Neill and jockey Bejarano fits him like a glove.

BRIDGING: This guy has some big time talent, he was coming off a little layoff but ran huge against a top notch group of straight maidens losing by a neck. With this race under his belt look for him in the winners’ circle next time out. $$$$$

PUERTO NUEVO: Just another winner exiting our HTW list and this filly paid $10.20 winning as much the best. We look for her to be stretched out in the very near future and she may even take a shot at the grass. If you like these HTW winners then come back each day and get my daily selections for Northern and Southern California racing, featuring all my key plays.

ON TIME FLIGHT: Was let go at almost 23-1, he broke slow but made a five wide rally into the stretch and battled tooth and nail to the wire but lost the bob.

BEV’S EX: Found his way from Hollywood Park to Golden Gate and was dropped to the bottom but attracted R Baze for the ride, he won for fun and there were no claims, look for the move up and repeat.

GOODBYE GOODMAN: Looked good in this spot but could not handle the runaway winner but was a clear second in the $12,500 maiden claimer. Top Southern California trainer Doug O’Neill must have liked him as he put in the claim and retained part ownership.

BADGETT’S ROYAL: First time starter stumbled badly at the start and was dead last, she regained her wits and circled rivals four wide on the turn and closed like a rocket ship just missing by a dwindling head. $$$
