VICTORYASECRET: Shipped in from Golden Gate and just ran a big time race going a flat mile on the grass finishing fourth beaten by a length for all the marbles despite battling on the front end throughout. Don’t know where she will show up next but she will be very hard to beat if able to get an early lead. $$$$$

HARISSA: Bobbled at the start and had to go four wide on the turn losing several positions but made a strong late run picking up the place.

VALID MEMCKE: Just pulled his way between horses but got in tight and had to check, he then got back into the frey but hopped when crossing onto the main track, he then came out for his run and was just flying late picking up the place. $$$

SOLDIER BETTY: This was one you had to watch in order to appreciate just how much the best Soldier Betty was in here. New boy T Kaplan was in a good spot on the rail but had to check hard and take back several positions and looked beat but Betty just circled and stormed home for an easy win giving kid Kaplan his first win with all his family members getting their photo taken in the winners’ circle.

TANDA: Just loves this downhill turf course but may be able to transfer her form to the Hollywood course which opens on April 21, one to watch in these up and coming turf sprints.

BEST PLAN: Was squeezed off at the start and just lost all shot as jockey Bejarano took hold and never really put any pressure on him. He could rebound in a big way at what will be a good price in his next start.

KANAN DUME: Was last seen running up the track last November at Hollywood Park but came back running today after getting just hammered at the betting windows. Trainer Doug O’Neill must have known what was going on as he claimed him for 25k. $$$

JAWS n’PAWS: First time starter broke loose before the start but the outrider caught her and brought her back, this is usually a scratch but not this time as they loaded her in the gate. She broke in back of the pace but came running late picking up the win and paying boxcars and I hope the outrider got a good tip from the owners.

GUNS ON THE TABLE: Was last seen running at Pleasanton last July but came back running today just losing by a neck to the odds on chalk. This guy can run and will be moving up the ladder, keep an eye out for his next start. $$$$$

GOOD MEASURE: His numbers indicate that he is stakes material, he broke his maiden with such ease it was scary.

GO BAROQUE: Was crowded and bumped by his stablemate leaving the chute and had to check hard, he then tried to make his run but had to go five wide on the turn but was gaining late despite the trouble.

ONE’S OWN ACCORD: Ran huge in defeat as he was passed by the winner in deep stretch but was coming back on late and just did get beat by a neck and was past the winner like a flash past the wire while some four lengths clear of the rest. $$$$$
