Was last seen back in December 2012, and trainer Marty Jones can bring back a horse ready to run. That is what this mare had on her mind as she romped home by almost five lengths, with the whip turned down, in the stretch by Talamo. She could come right back and score.

Very well managed colt by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer as he put in a nice prep for this 1 1/8 turf route. Won by a ½ length but was inching away at the finish and had the look of a horse that wanted more. We look for a repeat win at or near this level. He can stand a little rise in class also. $$$

This $20k maiden claimer put in a real nice effort in this 7 furlong race, but came up a ½ length short. May have been best but had to make a four-wide run, losing a position coming for home that cost him the win. He still finished well and looks to be sitting on the maiden breaker.

If you used this guy as a single in the players pick five as I did, well, we took a bad beat. The 16/1 winner shot out to an easy lead, opening up four lengths down the lane, when the jockey of Pass the Pico decided to take back off the pace. He came back on again and was flying down the lane, coming up just short and the pick five went down the drain. New jockey next time and the win.

Trainer Carla Gaines really has this girl in tip top form. She just did miss while between runners down the lane when making a five-wide run to finish only a half-length back. She will be one tough cookie next time out.

He was exiting our HTW list in this race and we got a real nice 5/1 on him, but the visiting Rosario could not get the job done. He came out at the start and took him inside, then angled out leaving the turn in this 6½ furlong sprint. He split horses in midstretch and got in tight off heels. Was boxed and had to settle for a very disappointing fourth. New jockey next time out and hopefully the win.

When the bad beat comes it seems they keep coming as this was just another single in the players pick five. Bullet was getting his first shot at the grass and his initial time going long in this his third lifetime start coming off an explosive maiden breaker. He ran a winning race but lost the bob to the Golden Gate 14/1 shipper by the slimmest of nostrils.

Was coming off a layoff for trainer Neil Drysdale who had this mare ready to run in this mile turf race. She was flying late and just did miss the show dough. Will go a little longer next time out on the grass and get the win. $$$

Took plenty of action off the layoff as this 3yo colt was highly bet and well meant, taking a shot going down the hill. He finished fourth but just missed the place by a neck. Next time he will be ready to cash. $$$$$
