Made a nice late run coming four wide into the stretch from last. He just failed to hold the place spot at almost 9/1. Claimed for $12,500 by super sharp owners and a trainer who can strike first. We will be all over this one when he comes back. $$$$$

Was last seen winning at the recently closed Hollywood Park back in July of last year. She broke slow in this 6½ furlong, downhill turf sprint. Split rivals in midstretch finishing a game third while just missing the place by ¾ of a length. Trainer Dan Blacker will have this girl ready for the score next time out.

Had no shot at running down the 9/5 long speed in this race but made a determined four-wide run down the lane. Was really motoring home to finish second more than seven lengths clear of the rest. She looks set to break her maiden next time out. $$$

A big WOW goes out to Eddie as he just blistered this downhill turf course in 1:10.7, a new record for Santa Anita, with Elvis Trujillo, who’s back to the place he got his big start. Elvis can flat out ride and this colt is ultrafast. Will be very hard to beat on this course. We will be singling next time out in the picks.

Looked good breaking his maiden last time out at almost 8/1,  and was one of our picks on our daily horse selections along with the $96 exacta. This gelding looks to really like the grass and I can see him going a mile on the turfS next time out for very sharp connections. $$$

Cheap claimer has some good early speed and just failed to hold last time out at 5/1 when caught on the line. She was claimed by top Northern Cal trainer Steven Miyadi who also will own the mare. He will have her spotted for the money run next time out.
