This 2yo first time starter out of the barn of Ted West just ran a winning race but could not run down the lone speed. Finished a game second some 7 lengths clear of the rest in this 5 furlong sprint. She will be a solid single next time out. $$$

First time starter for trainer Mark Glatt was very live at almost 9/1 but was up against another very live runner who blitzed the group by more than 7 lengths. “21” finished a solid second and will be very hard to beat next time out.

Some people call the legendary horse handicapper Gordon Jones just that. This Prof was coming off a layoff of nearly a year. He ran a much better-than-looked race, splitting this field of 11 maidens going down the hill. Will be a nice price play next time out with this race under his belt.

Just had a horrible trip as he pulled and was steadied hard at the right hand curve. It happened again between horses on the hill and he fell back to next to last. He continues outside and made a huge five-wide run down the lane just missing the place by a neck. We like his chances next time out with a clean trip. $$$

Was getting the drop in class and the hot Elvis Trujillo riding for Doug O’Neill as these two have been hooking up with winner after winner. The Kid came from last to second in a big late run and is ready to win next out at this level if he gets some pace to run at.

Was making his first start as a gelding and ran to the ultimate equipment change, winning by more than 4 lengths going away. He was claimed for the $25k by Vann Belvoir, who can strike first off the claim as this gelding’s mind is now on running.

Top trainer John F. Martin went to Santa Anita and redtagged this filly for $20k. He probably will be taking her to the Gate and putting her in a winning spot. We will be waiting.
