TUMBAGA: Just ran huge at 22/1 when tracking the lone speed in this 1 1/16 route for maidens. He was getting to the winner at the end and finished more than five lengths clear of the rest in this 10 horse field.
FIGHTER SQUADRON: Was steadied in tight when between horses in the early going. He came out for room leaving the second turn but had to wait again and checked off heels in midstretch. Rallied between horses but had to wait yet again. Once clear he surfaced late to get up for the place in what was a huge try.$$$
TEMPLE KEYS: This Tom Proctor maiden was being sent a flat mile. He ran a sneaky good race, finishing third just getting headed for second while more than nine lengths clear of the rest. He looks ready to graduate next time out. $$$
JOMELO: $25k claimer going a mile on the grass lunged at the start and tossed his head. He came four wide into the stretch and blasted home to win going away. Looks like a repeater.
BUYMMEABOND: Bobbled at the start and then made a wide run on the turn. Had to be steadied when getting in tight, checked off heels in midstretch and just could not get going again. Let’s give this one a shot next time out at what will be a good price.
SINDYS LUCK: First time starter showed some good early speed when dueling five wide into the turn in this 5 1/2 furlong maiden claimer. He battled it out till the end but was out-finished by two other first time starters. If able to clear next time out he will be gone!
UNBLUNTED: Maiden going 7 furlongs had solid works over the track and ran to them at 9/1, winning with something left. He will be able to move up and face winners.
VOW ME OVER: Stalked the pace in this mile turf race for maiden 2yo fillies, she made a bid between fillies on the backstretch, she continued to stay on the winner’s heels and made a bid again past midstretch. Had to steady when in tight and it cost her the place money. She will be very hard to beat next time out.
