CHEESECAKE: Since I will be at the Fairgrounds for the Louisiana Derby, it’s time to hone up my FG skills. I came up with some Cheesecake. This filly was best in here at 9/1 but had a horrible trip. She was blocked from the eighth to the sixteenth pole, then was dropped to the inside looking for room.Just missed show dough by a nostril and the win by a length. No mistakes next time out. $$$$$

ALWAYS A CHANCE: Had big chance in this mile turf race at almost 6/1 but had to be steadied hard when checked off heels. She then angled out for some room but was steadied again in midstretch. Once she got clear her race was over. $$$

PERFECTLY MAJESTIC: First time starter for trainer Hess was sent off at 3/2 but could not get to the lone speed and had to settle for second. He will be a solid single next time out.

COMO MI PADRE: Ran a winning race but failed to get up after making a four wide move. Closing fast he had to settle for show dough, missing the win by less than a dwindling length. He was claimed for the $25k by trainer Vann Belvoir who can pop first off the claim.

GO WEST MARIE: Somehow got up for the win after being steadied and blocked a furlong out going down the hill. This filly is a flat out runner and we would love to see her go long next time out. $$$$$

PAULINA’S LOVE: Really never had a shot after failing to break sharp from her far outside post in this mile turf race and being fanned five wide. We will toss this effort and upgrade his chances next time out.

SHOWCASE WINNER: Ran a much better than looked effort in this very tough downhill turf race. She may want to go longer; we will give her a big shot next time out at what will be a big price.

CLEM JUICE: Fits at this level and made a nice closing run to finish third last out. She needs the right pace upfront to get the win as is in good form.

JACK DIZ: Jack ran his heart out in defeat in this $8k maiden claimer, missing by the bob at 4/1. He will get the job done next time out.
