Was last seen finishing second at Del Mar last November. He came back in this downhill turf sprint breaking from the tough 1 post. Was far back, launched three wide into the stretch and stormed home to finish third by a half-length. Just missed the win by a dwindling length. He wins next out with a better post.
CLEVER ROYAL: Was last seen finishing fifth at Del Mar last August. Took some money in this mile turf race but bobbled at the start. He was angled to the inside leaving the second turn but then was blocked off heels from mid to deep stretch. Once clear he had a ton of run finishing fourth. $$$
TESTER: Was exiting our HTW list and got off at 5/2. He was five wide into the first turn and four wide on the second turn, Was then steadied when there was a spill but somehow kept going to get up for the win. We will keep him on our list of next out winners.
EMYVALE COURT: This filly looked to have a big shot in this downhill turf sprint but had to settle for the place money. She finished with good energy and will be tough to beat next out.
SAHARA SKY: Was last seen finishing up the track in June 2014 here at the Great Race Place. He came back running in the Kona Gold but just could not chase down the odds-on favorite. Finished third by a neck while more than 8 lengths clear of the rest. Next time he will be a nice single.
PAMMY WHAMMY: Had the one hole first out of the box going down the hill and now gets a nice outside post. She made a nice six-wide run down the lane just missing the place by a neck.
FRANDONTJUDGE: Came into this race working like she wanted to run and put in a big effort at 8/1 chasing the lone speed. She will be hard to beat next out at what will be a nice square price.
WANDERING HEART: Could not handle the odds-on winner in here but finished willingly to be a clear second. Will be a solid single next time out.
