BIG DISCOVERY: First time starter for trainer Tom Proctor ran huge at 10/1. He split horses into the second turn and made a big four wide run into the stretch. Was steadied when crowded in midstretch and had to angle in. Surged late to finish a clear second. $$$

THREE HEARTS: Was best in this 1-1/4 turf route but lacked room off heels leaving the second turn till midstretch. She finally came out for room but lost her best shot. Still came on to finish a game third. $$$$$

ALAMO: Just could not handle the live Peter Miller first time starter but finished a clear second in this field of 11 straight maidens, He wins next time out. We will be singling.

BOBBY Z MAN: Was being wheeled back in just 7 days by trainer Barry Abrams who has made a living sending his Unusual Heat horses down the hill. This gelding loves going down the hill and he won again. We will keep using him on this course.

DESIRESOFTHEHEART: Sired by Unusual Heat and trained by Donald Warren. Desires put back to back 7 furlong works into her for this downhill turf sprint for straight maidens. She was sitting 10th in this 12 horse field and swung out on the dirt five wide. Blasted home while under a loose rein with the whip turned down to win going away by almost 3 lengths in what was an eye catching performance. $$$$$

CONQUEST CURLGIRL: One of those Conquest runners for trainer Mark Casse. This first time starter ran her eyeballs out battling the entire 6 furlongs. She could not hold off the live Hollendorfer comebacker but finished a solid second. We will be keying her next time out.
