SANTA ANITA

CERVARO: Was best in this 1 mile turf race but when making his winning move he lacked room off heels from upper stretch to midstretch, he finally split foes and surged late but had to settle for 3rd, just missing the place by a head and the win by a head and a neck. No mistakes next time out, we will be singling.

KNOW PLANS: Was coming off the layoff for the hot trainer D’Amato and was a release on our web site www.gamingtoday.com as the price play in this race. He got off at 37/1 and came home strong to finish a close 3rd. We will be betting next time out. $$$

PAULINA’S LOVE: Was exiting our HTW list and was let go in the betting at 5/1. She won going away by almost five lengths and we will keep her on our list.

SWEET: Second time starter for Papa Mandella was getting Lasix and stretched out today. He ran on strong but had no chance at catching the runaway winner, Paulina’s Love. He will be hard to beat next time out if able to find some early pace to run at.

BIG MOVE: First-time starter for trainer Tim Yakteen was listed at 6/1 on the morning line but the fact she had Mike Smith on board and some nice works got her bet down to 5/2 at post time. She showed some good early speed and actually made two moves in the race. She tired late and had to settle for 4th. This filly has some run and we will be using her next time out.

AFLEET IN TIME: Was making his first start as a gelding. He broke slow and looked beat until the top of the lane when unleashing a huge late run to win going away. He is on his game now and will repeat with another top effort.

DIVINA COMEDIA: Was in from France for trainer Julio Canani, who has done well with shippers like this in the past. This filly took all the action but as luck would have it she broke behind the field, spotting them several lengths in this 6-1/2 furlong downhill turf sprint. She was unleashed turning for home and made a big four-wide run down the lane but had to settle for 3rd, missing the place by less than a length and the win by a length…next time. $$$$$
