SECRET COMMAND: Comebacker for Hess ran a huge second despite being steadied when in tight off heels and boxed in midway on the backstretch. Look for this one in the winner’s circle next out.

ROSICKY: Was exiting our HTW list and got off at 4/1 but had the misfortune of hooking up with Iron Fist, who was also exiting our list as a $$$$$ play. Iron Fist got the best of Rosicky when coming back on after Rosicky got the lead in the stretch. Rosicky was almost 7 lengths clear of the rest and we will be singling next time out. $$$$$

SCANDAL: As Ralph Siraco of “Race Day Las Vegas” said, “It was a scandal that they took this filly’s number down.” It was one of the worst take downs I have ever seen.

ELEKTRUM: Really like jockey Prat but he may have won the Grade 1 gamely with this one if he would have stayed down on the inside. Instead, he made the decision to go outside and got boxed in off heels through the final furlong. That cost her the race.

SHE SINGS ALONG: 2yo first time starter had no shot vs. the lone speed and runaway winners Sambamzajammin, but was a clear second and should get the job done next out going 5 furlongs.

SHOWCASE WINNER/YA YA GIRL: Just another same race reversal as Ya Ya Girl was bet down to 90 cents on the dollar and Showcase Winner, who was exiting the same race, was let go at almost 14/1. Showcase Winner got the nose win, paying $29.60 with the $2 exacta paying $80.80.

WATDIFRENZDZITMAKE: Was coming off the layoff for trainer D’Amato. Ran a big race despite being bumped and pushed out in upper stretch. She just missed the place by a dwindling nostril and the win by a length. We will be singling next time out. $$$$$

IT IS LIVING WATER: Came off the layoff for Peter Miller and ran a bang up second. Will be very hard to beat next time out maybe going a mile on the grass. $$$
