TAKE IT EASYPLEASE: Was sent off as the 8/5 favorite in this $20k maiden claimer for fillies and mares but was caught coming out of post position 11. Broke on top but could not keep up with the winner, who she beat last time out. The winner opened up a clear advantage and sprinted clear to win going away, Take It Easyplease ran a winning race, finishing more than 10 lengths clear of the rest.

TOEWS ON ICE: They were heading over to Wynn race and sportsbook to grab some bets on this 2yo colt on Johnny Avello’s Kentucky Derby future book. This colt won like something special with Bob Baffert’s go-to rider Martin Garcia sitting like he had (as Mr. Bob Mann says) a stick of dynamite underneath him. Mr. Baffert looks to have a good one in this Archarcharch colt. $$$$$

WILD: Just ran huge when winning this $20k maiden claimer as he broke from the 9 post and swung seven wide entering the stretch in this mile race. Made a furious run from the far outside to win on the line in what was a big time effort. Look for this colt to come back at Santa Anita in a starter allowance race and get the repeat win.

COURAGEOUS DAVE: First time starter was sent off as the 3/2 chalk. He broke slow and to the inside but recovered and rushed up to stalk the early pace. Shifted out three wide into the stretch, got to the front and drew away like the good thing that he is. Lots of upside here. $$$

STRUCTURE: Very sneaky looking 2yo filly for Baffert. He sent her 5½ furlongs first out of the box and that was way too short a distance for this filly. She found her best stride and was really motoring at the end. Will be a great play going 6½ furlongs or longer next out at the Great Race Place. $$$
