GEISTREITER: First time starter for trainer Tim Yakteen ran a big race finishing fourth while just missing the show dough after a slow start. She was more than eight lengths clear of the rest in this 10 horse field. Fits at this $20k level.

SWIPE: 2yo has the Keith Desormeaux/Kent Desormeaux connections that won the BC Juvenile with Texas Red last year. This colt has been running second behind Nyquist but got much closer to beating him last out when he came up the rail to lose by less than a length. Nyquist was tiring while Swipe kept coming. Look for the colt to turn the tables the next time they meet in the BC Juvenile.

ELEKTRUM: Ran huge in the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive going 1-1/4 on the grass finishing second behind the Graham Motion shipper. Elektrum had to wait when caught behind horses in midstretch and lost some momentum or he may have been close. He always runs his race and is a must use next out.

MOR SPIRIT: First time starter for trainer Bob Baffert came into this highly touted and was sent off in this very tough field at 9/5. He was crowded and checked off heels in the opening strides and that cost him. Was rushed up to get the lead but just could not hold off the winner, but finished more than three lengths clear of the rest. Will be a solid single next time out and if he meets any of the other runners coming out of this race we will be using in exotics. $$$$$

BUYMEABOND: Had the cozy rail in this mile turf race but the old Nakatani wanted nothing of the inside as he swung out into the stretch making a last to fourth move, flying late. This one needs plenty of early pace and a better trip to get the job done. We will be looking for that next out.

ALL RUN: Just freaked in this 6½ furlong dirt sprint when exploding down the lane to win going away by almost eight lengths while under a long hold. We would love to see this gelding going down the hill next time out.

AFLEET DOMINATION: Could not get by Sugar Buzz who was exiting our HTW list but was almost 11 lengths clear of the rest in this 10 horse field. This one will be very hard to beat next out.
