STARLITE STYLE: First time starter for underrated trainer Ken Black and ridden by underrated jockey S. Arias was let go at the windows at 35/1 in this mile turf race. This filly ran her race to finish a solid second in a big field of 11 runners. We will get a good price right back for these low profile connections.

CUPID: Trainer Bob Baffert has an embarrassment of riches. This 3yo colt cost $900k and got the “stretchout” today in this his third start. He won like his even money price dictated while under a very snug late hold by Garcia. This one has a ton of upside being by Tapit, and the longer the better.

BUYMEABOND: Had been waiting for this one to come back and we got the right price at almost 11-1. As luck would have it he stumbled at the start and was dead last in this field of 11 turf runners. Did make a huge late run to finish a fast closing fourth just missing the show dough by a neck and the place by a neck and a nose.

TEN BLESSINGS: As we stated about Cupid, Baffert sent out this first time starter in a loaded field of straight maidens. This colt just blew them away down the lane after a slow start and a wide trip. Nothing but up for this Smart Strike colt. $$$

SEVENTH SENSE: Was the hot play in the same race as Ten Blessings and was sent off at even money for Jerry Hollendorfer. He dueled four wide but could not keep going in turning for home and finished eighth in this field of 11. We will give him another shot.

GEORGIA BLUE: First time starter for trainer Neil Drysdale came into this like a real runner and was being sent down the hill. This filly got off at a whopping 12/1 and ran a very good race to finish second. We will be on her next time out.

DANZING CANDY: Won this optional claiming race for 3yo like something good and it was in a very fast time for the hot trainer Clifford Sise. We look for this colt to move up and face stakes company next out to see if he can handle the road to Kentucky.

MELATONIN: We send out a big wow for this win at 10/1 as this gelding just drew away with ease down the lane while under a stranglehold by Talamo. Moving on up next time out and we may just get another good price.

GONE TO BALI: Have always thought this filly had some big potential. She looked to have a big shot in this mile turf race and was let go at 12/1 in the betting. Was pulling jockey Tyler Baze while down on the inside as she really wanted to run. Came out for room into the stretch looking to launch but had no luck. Had to check hard off heels losing several positions, costing her any shot, and had to settle for a close fourth. No mistakes next time out going long on the grass. $$$$$
