SANTA ANITA

Race 1

Down the hill they go as 3yo maidens take to the grass. No. 1 Tristan’s Trilogy exits our HTW list and now gets a turn back in distance, he ran good in his one try down the hill. No. 2 Snicker was bet like a good thing in his one and only but never got untracked, he has a good last work and is bred to grass. No. 7 Freemark lost at odds on in his last start on a wet track, he will be tough on a firm turf course. No. 9 Remesses is the barn mate of Freemark and gets Bafferts main rider. 1-2-7-9

Race 2

No. 3 Sambamzajammin gets a big drop in class and will show all of her early speed with the hot riding Maldanado getting the call. No. 4 Noble Edition will get the right pace to launch her last kick. 3-4

Race 3

No. 4 El Nino Terrible has big early speed and gets his second start off the Diodoro claim. No. 5 Qatar’s Pearl will be making a late run. No. 6 Celebrity Status will get first run at El NiNo.  4-5-6

Race 4

In this mile turf race No. 1 Te Rapa drops off a troubled last race. No. 5 Zuri Chop is wheeled back in just 8 days by Sadler and gets stretched back out. No. 6 Royal Banker is in good form and exits the same race as Te Rapa, jockey Flavien Prat fits this gelding perfectly.

Race 5

THE $75K SANTANA MILE ON THE DIRT

No. 1 Songforjohnmichael has won 3 of 4 starts here including his last. No. 2 Cyrus Alexander gets back to reality after trying Grade I company. No. 4 Cat Burglar is tough at this level and will be on or near the front end. 1-2-4

Race 6

We have little or no clue in this $30k maiden claimer for 3yo so since we don’t care for any of the ones that have run we will opt for two first time starters. No. 3 Informed Strike who is by a .30% sire first out and No. 5 He’s a Knockout with Maldo riding for Miyadi, he has won 2 of 3 for Miyadi.

Race 7

THE GRADE III $100K SAN SIMEON DOWN THE HILL

No. 4 No Silent gets Stevens back and back on grass. No. 5 Hay Dude just missed in his one try down the hill. No. 7 Guns Loaded loves to win races, is in great form and can handle the course. 4-5-7**

Race 8

No. 2 Dustin’s Passion gets his first start as a gelding and they drop trying to cash. No. 4 Derby Glass can be depended on for a late run. No. 5 My Ole Bud is the speed of the speed with No. 6 Lucky Shoes to Win sitting right on his heels. 2-4-5-6

Race 9

$50k maiden claimers go six furlongs. No. 8 Lucky Days Ahead was well bet in his one start and ran a nice even race. No. 12 Jazzie Cat is the one to beat with the drop back to this $50k level and looks to be a nice single in the picks. No. 13 Summer Chat was sent off at even money in his one start and will be out winging on the front end. 8-12***-13

Race 10

We will use two exiting the same race No. 2 St. Joe Bay who will be the speed. No. 5 Hot Market second off the layoff, both exit the same race and No. 7 John’s Success comes out of a good try and is in good form. 2-5-7

GOLDEN GATE 

Race 1

First time starter No. 2 Lost in Lexington looks very live with this crew. No. 3 American Pegasus showed some good speed in her one start and the drop could get her home on top. No. 4 Lacey’s Rainbow gets a big drop and Baze, she will be short. 2-3-4

Race 2

No. 5 Bananappeal finally got the maiden breaker and may have figured things out. No. 6 Broderick Street is in fine form and fits at this level.

5-6

Race 3

We will use three exiting the same race. No. 3 Zoristo who was second by 3/4 of a length, No. 4 Troyes the third place finisher and No. 6 Chasing Kings the 4th place finisher. 3-4-6

Race 4

Hollendorfer gives No. 1 Bottle Blonde a big boast in class of her near miss. No. 4 She’s Flush has hit the board in all four of her starts here on the main and comes off a good second at this level, she beat the Bottle Blonde on race back. 1-4

Race 5

No. 3 Gab Power drops back to the level of his near miss. No. 4 Intermix drops and will be part of the pace. No. 8 Misdeed is on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race. 3-4-8

Race 6

No. 1 Mah Gellin has won six times here and the move to this level could notch him his seventh. No. 5 Sahara Sky was once a top class runner, the drop could get him back on the winning trail. 1-5

Race 7

No. 3 Dancing Lindsay is the one to beat, she was well bet in her first start and will be hard to beat. Alex Solis is scheduled to ride No. 4 Unusually Talented here, a second time starter who was 3/2 in her first start, she will hold better today. 3****-4

Race 8

No. 1 Glamsquad will try and run down her barn mate No. 3 Her Again who has won four of her last five starts. 1-3

Race 9

In the .20 cent pick six we will single in the last leg using No. 1 Meet Miss Kitty who won for fun at first asking when bet to 6/5, Miss Kitty will look to take them wire-to-wire once again. 1
