LILY KAI: Was between horses in the early going down on the inside with no room to run. Had to wait and checked off heels of the winner in midstretch, which cost Lily the race as she finally got through down on the inside to surge late, missing by a neck.

BE MINE: Was another shipper, this one in from Tampa and landing in the ultra-hot barn of Phil D’Amato. She was bet down to the 2/1 favorite and won by more than five lengths while under a long hold by Prat. Look for the move up and repeat win. A solid single next time out. $$$$$

BOMBARD: First time starter for Papa Mandella had works that said he was a runner. He was being sent down the hill for this and that is not an easy task for a first timer. Looked to be making a big run but had to steady when he got in tight approaching the dirt crossing. Split rivals and came again just missing the place by a head in a top effort. $$$

MACRO ACCESS: Has a big work coming into this race and ran to it finishing a very good second behind the lone speed, even money winner. This one is a must use next time out in all the exotics.

OPSEC: Broke slowly and was squeezed off in the early going to be dead last. He went down on the inside while just tugging the jock out of the saddle. Had to be steadied again into the second turn. Came out in the stretch and stormed home for the impossible win. We will use right back.

TRIBAL TRIBUTE: As horseplayers we all get some jocks that seem to never give us a good ride. Tyler Baze, who I like a lot, always seems to get in trouble when I need him. He was riding Tribal Tribute who he got down on the inside and had to wait into the stretch for room. Was boxed along the fence from mid to deep stretch, losing all shot.
