J P’S GUSTO: 2yo first time starter out of the David Hofmans stable was bet like a good thing going off at 9-5, he hesitated to be off very slow and dead last, he then settled on the outside, he went four wide in this 4½ furlong sprint and was making a big late run in what was a much better than looked effort. This guy can run and will only get better as the distances get longer, one to keep an eye out for in the future. $$$$$

MEGASTAR: Took a while to get the maiden breaker but just looked super winning this straight maiden turf route despite trouble. The light may have went off so look for this guy to come right back and run big on the move up to face winners.

SHADOW OF ILLINOIS: Turf sprints are this one’s bread and butter, this hard knocking 10yo gelding still has some racing left in him and he ran big time in this 6 furlong turf sprint despite a ton of trouble; look for him to come back with another big effort on this course and is a must use in the exotics.

FLY BOY: Was steadied hard when crowded at the start and was far back in this 5½ furlong sprint; he made a strong run splitting horses on the turn and came wide deep into the stretch and was moving like a freight train gaining on the winner with every stride but just could not get there but flew past the winner at the wire. This guy was best in here and will be a very good single next time out.

TRIBAL JUSTICE: Was last down on the inside but came out for room leaving the turn and was wide into the stretch but made a nice late run and just did miss the show dough by a head in what was a better than looked effort. The price will be right with this guy next time out and worth a little lay down.

MISS PICABOO: First time starter was listed at 6-1 on the morning line but got some big action and left the gate at 7-2, she made a big four wide move into the stretch and came flying late closing in on the lone speed with every big stride finishing second beaten less than a length, next time she will get home on top.

LOVE THAT MELODY: Another first time starter that was bet like the race was over going off at even money in this 6 furlong turf sprint. She broke slow and then was between horses and just kept coming with her run and was gaining on the winner with every stride, this girl can run and will be very hard to beat next time out. $$$$$

S S SONG GIRL: This girl has some big speed and was very unlucky to lose this race at 5-1, she looks ready to pop and if able to clear early and get a little breather she will get her diploma next time out.

LITTLE BUG: Was outsprinted in the early going but was sitting looking to make her run to the outside when the rail opened up and she shot through it like a bullet and cruised to the front winning going away by more than three lengths, look for the repeat.

PAMELOT: Back classer put in a determined run down the stretch in this turf route to get the hard fought win, look for her to come right back and repeat.
