SEA CAT: Kitten’s Joy gelding was getting stretched out on the grass. He was 12-1 on the morning line but took some action and went off at 6-1. Won like a good thing. We think he has found a home on the lawn and can score right back versus winners.

DARK ENERGY: Was steadied when Solis got him in tight early on the first turn. He came out, split horses in mid-stretch, but Solis checked off heels and that cost this one the race. He wins next out with a better trip going long on the grass. $$$

SCUDERIA: Was in from Gulfstream Park for trainer Mike McCarthy. Battled tooth and nail with the even money chalk before losing a dramatic stretch battle by a head while more than four lengths clear of the rest. No mistakes next time out. We will be singling. $$$$$

FIN DE SEMAINE: Broke his maiden in find style in the $40k maiden claimer and was taken by trainer Keith Desormeaux for that amount. Will likely come back in a starter allowance race going a mile or longer with his brother Kent riding. We will be on him.

GIANT EXPECTATIONS: Was sent off at 7/5 in this maiden special race going 1/16 on the dirt. He stumbled at the start to be off last in this 11 horse field. Came four wide into the lane and ran on, just missing the show dough. We will give him a big shot right back with a clean start.

ROCKO’S WHEEL: Had some big works coming into this allowance optional $62,500 claimer. He ran big despite a wide trip, just missing the place by a head. Can win next out.

LINDANTE: Ran a winning race going down the hill at 7-1, splitting rivals down the lane and storming home to just miss by a head and nose on the money. We will give him a big shot right back down the hill.

SASSY ASHLEY: Was coming off the layoff for Baltas and ran a good race showing early speed. She got a little tired late and just failed to hold on for the show money. With this race under her belt she will be a solid play next out going long on the grass or even down the hill. $$$
