JIMMYTHISNJIMTHAT, GEM OF A GUY, IMAGINEIAMFASTEST: These three runners ran first, second and third in a very tough $30K maiden claiming race for 3yo. First time starter Jimmythisnjimthat won the race by just ¾ of a length with Gem of a Guy finishing a game second after battling Imagineiamfastest on the front end the entire 5½ furlong distance. Jimmy was claimed for the $30K by Jerry Hollendorfer and Imagineiamfastest was claimed by Hector Palma for the $30K. Look for all three to come back and run big races next out.

CONQUEROR: Doesn’t it seem like every time you single a runner who is odds-on something happens? Well this guy went off at 90 cents on the dollar and looked to be in a good spot stalking the pace on the inside. As racing luck would have it he had to steady hard off heels a half mile out and had to swing out for room reaching the upper stretch. Just could not make up the needed ground, losing by a half-length with a lot of pick five tickets getting ripped up. No mistakes next time; we will single again.

SUPER PATRIOT: Could not run down the even money speed but was five lengths clear of the rest in this mile turf race for maiden 3yo fillies. Look for this girl to pop next out. She will be a great single in the picks.

SALTINI: Was very live in this 1-1/8 turf route with trainer Richard Mandella putting back-to-back seven furlong works into him. Keep an eye out for this workout pattern by Mandella. This one will be very hard to beat next out going long on the grass. $$$$$

OSCAR DOMINGUEZ: Ran a much better than looked race in this $40K optional claimer going 1-1/8 on the grass. He was in for the $40K price tag and got plucked by trainer John Sadler, who will have him spotted for the win next out looking for a quick return on the investment.

GOSOFAR: This runner was in for $12,500 on the big drop down. He never ran much of a race, going off at even money. Was claimed but the claim was voided and as bettors we want to know why? Did he get injured during the race or was he not fit to run before the race? If that’s the case it should be a crime!
