BEAU SQUARE: Looked good in this spot going down the hill but never got any pace to run at with the outside horse grabbing an easy lead and going wire to wire. Trainer O’Neill has this filly in top form and she will get the money next out with some pace to run at on the grass. $$$

LOVING MOMENT: D’Amato maiden hopped at the start and then was pulling jockey Tyler Baze out of the saddle as she really wanted to be let loose. He took her four wide while chasing the lone speed, surging late to just miss by a dwindling head. No mistakes next time out as this filly will go wire to wire.

FABRICATION: Kristin Mulhall runner bobbled just after the start and was then taken to the inside to save ground. He made a bid from down on the rail, battling the winner tooth and nail, but got outgamed at 10-1 by the 5/2 second choice. He is sitting on the maiden score at this $30K level.

ALL NET: Was exiting a key race from Del Mar back in November while taking a drop in class. She ran a good race, finishing a clear second more than four lengths better than the rest in this ten horse field. She was claimed for $30K by big pockets David Jacobson. We will see if she comes back at this price.

PROUDLY ELEGANT: Trainer Vladimir Cerin sent out this first time starter and he put the new bug boy in town, F. Ceballos, on for the ride. He rode this filly to perfection, getting the easy win at almost 24/1. We must take note of this, especially with Evin Roman getting ready to lose his bug as we look for some top trainers to start using this up and coming rider. This will be a rider to watch as the meet runs on.
