EMPRESS WAY: Just looked great on the track, she had to come out into the stretch for room and made a good late run in this 11/16 turf route and looks ready for the maiden breaker.

METEORE: This guy has some big talent and absolutely needed this race off the layoff, he will be very hard to beat next time out, single material going long on the grass.

TEMPLE CITY: Ran behind Meteore and he was also coming off a long layoff for Carla Gaines, this guy will be a much tighter animal in his next start and could take them gate to wire.

J P’S GUSTO/BELLEOFTHEBRIDLE: Both were exiting our HTW list, J P ran right by the filly Belleofthebridle paying $10.80 for the win and keying $19.60 exacta for two bucks. Belle was more than nine lengths clear of the rest; we will keep them both on our list.

MAJOR SMOKE: Broke slow and was far back in this 5½ furlong sprint, once going he came flying down the middle of the stretch and streaked home for the place, Smoke needed this race and will be a very good bet next time out.

MEGASTAR: Was another exiting our HTW list and this guy held on with tenacity for the win paying $9.20, we think he can still move on up the ladder going long on the grass as this was a very good field of Allowance turf runners that he beat.

SUFI DANCER: Few trainers better than Mike Mitchell putting a comebacker in the right spot for the win. Sufi Dancer was last seen running up the track last August at Del Mar, he came back in this 32k maiden claimer and just blitzed them at 2-1 with a five wide trip, look for him to comeback with another big effort. $$$$$

TITUS AURELIUS: Could not run down the winner in this 7 furlong 25k maiden claimer but was a very good second some 4 lengths clear of the rest. He was claimed out of this race by Doug O’Neill who just may be sending him long on the grass and jockey Brice Blanc fits this one like a glove.

SAINT ISABELLE: Filly looked great off the long layoff, she put in a good late run finishing second at 6-1, she looks set for her best.

MOVIE DUTY: Speedy filly could not quite hold off HTW winner Can’t Topper but just ran super in defeat at 10-1, her speed will put her in the winners’ circle next time out.

PUERTO NUEVO: Had a good stalking position from the inside but got boxed behind horses and lost all chance.

MY AUNT FANNY: Was far back and had to make a six wide run turning for home and just came running like a freight train missing by a nostril on the line.

MILLION TOWN: First time starter broke awkward and trailed the field in this 5 furlong sprint for 20k maidens, she rallied wide to the stretch but had to ease out for room and closed like a flash to get up for the place. $$$$$
