HOT AMERICAN: Was the only first time starter in a $50K maiden claimer with a few very suspect professional maidens. He had the very good turf jock Van Dyke on for Neil Drysdale. Somehow he goes off at 20/1 and wins going away, paying $42.20. It’s a must-to-watch when a top jock gets on the only “firster” in a race like this. This one could come right back in a starter allowance race and win.

MONGOLIAN WINDOW: First off the John Sadler $75K claim, this filly just missed going a mile on the grass in her second lifetime start and first on the grass. Sadler sent her down the hill with Tyler Baze riding; and he gave this 3yo filly a great ride as he moved down on the rail crossing the dirt. The hole opened and he blasted her through for the big win. This filly has some heart and can come right back.

RIGHTEOUS WAVE: Dueled outside on the backstretch and at the turn. Continued to fight on but could not run down the frontrunner and 8/5 chalk. He finished second, seven lengths clear of the rest. Will be a very solid play to break his maiden next out at this level.

JUNIOR GILLIAM: Ran his usual good race and now changes barns as he was claimed by the aforementioned Sadler, who will have him spotted for the win next out. We really like this claim for $12,500. $$$

NINE POINT NINE: If you get our plays on website you would have been on this mare as we stated she was looking for a race and found a good spot. She won by a length at almost 7/1, paying $15.80. Is in top form and can repeat.

CINNAMON TWIST: The filly was Jon Lindo’s GamingToday Play of the Week in the newspaper. She won by more than four lengths and was claimed by Vladimir Cerin for $16K. That really looks like a bargain so look for the perfect placement next out and another win.
