DEL MAR

STREETWITHNONAME, LUMINOSO: Just a little tutorial about what I have said in the past about runners exiting the same race. These two were exiting a race at Santa Anita. In that race Luminoso finished second with Streetwithnoname finishing fourth. This time Streetwithnoname won paying $76.40 with Luminoso finishing second. The exacta paid $365.40 for $2. Keep an eye open for these races.

MAJESTIC EAGLE, EPICAL: Again runners were exiting the same race. Majestic Eagle won as the second choice with Epical finishing a closing second at 31/1. The $2 exacta paid $214.40. Just keep on the lookout for these races. We only need one here and there.

SURRENDER NOW: Peter Miller runner somehow got off at 23/1 going five furlongs on the grass with Van Dyke riding. She blasted home to win going away and has the looks of a filly Miller will wheel back on this five furlong turf course for another win. $$$

IF YOU LIKE IT: Was in from Golden Gate and won this $12,500 claimer for fun showing that she loved this course. She was claimed by Mike Puype for sneaky owner Robert Bone. We will be on this mare again next out as she will be spotted for another win. $$$

BOMBARD: Was so unlucky to lose this mile turf race. He was out of post 12 and broke sharp but lost a position when four wide into the stretch. Came home fast just missing by a dwindling head on the line at 8/1. No mistakes next out for Papa Mandella and Bombard.

GAIN GROUND: Was in from Arlington Park for trainer Eoin Harty and running in this $25K claimer going a mile on the grass. Ran a nice even 4th though four wide into the stretch, just missing the show dough by a half length and the place by a head and a half length. He was claimed for the $25K by Phil D’Amato who will have him ready to win next out
