LAVA GIRL: Was a first time starter out of the Doug O’Neill barn that was let go at 32-1, well you just can’t let any Doug O’Neill horse go off at that price. Well she got a great rail ride by jockey Santiago Reyes but got dead heated on-the-wire by a Bob Baffert first-time starter but we still got $28.60 for our share of the win, keep an eye out for this filly.

GLENDIVE: I was all over this 3yo filly going a flat mile on the grass, she looked to be making a winning run but when she came out on the second turn she had to steady hard off heels and she never got going after that, next time will be a trip to the winners’ circle.

POSITION A: Was coming off our HTW list and got the win at 5-1, we are still going to keep this one on our list in hopes that trainer Doug O’Neill will try him once again on the green, we could get another nice price.

KID EDWARD: Was coming off a little layoff but was bet like a winner in this 80k optional claimer and won like a good thing for hot trainer James Cassidy, this 3yo colt can move up and repeat.

THEODORA: Was just lagging far back in this 11/16 route as she just sat outside until the top of the lane when she unleashed a big late run and came storming home like a freight train and was one of three on the line but had to settle for the show dough just missing the place by a slim nostril. $$$$$

OTTO VON VOOML: There were a lot of bettors who had this guy singled in the late pick four and the pick six and they had to get sick when they saw this race as he was making a winning move when he got blocked off heels and then had to be steadied hard in midstretch and that cost him the race as he got going once again and just did miss by a half a length. Otto was claimed out of this race by the astute Jerry Hollendorfer who will have him spotted for the win next time out. $$$$$

QUICK ENOUGH: Was last seen on April 29 of ‘09 but came back running in this 32k claimer taking a good group wire-to-wire. This one looks like a great pick up for trainer Mike Mitchell who put up the 32k, he will repeat for his new connections as they get a quick return on their investment.

PEDALTOTHEMEDAL: Was exiting a real fast race on the grass in which she finished second and the race was much faster than normal for 2yo fillies. She was now trying the main and there were three other fillies that were taking big money but she did put the pedal to the medal and ran the other girls off their feet. This girl can flat-out run and will be seen in a stakes race in the very near future.

DAZZLING DISPLAY: This first time Bob Baffert 2yo filly was bet like a good thing but had the misfortune of running up against Pedaltothemedal but she ran her heart out and was almost four lengths clear of the rest. She will be odds on next time out but will be a good single in the picks. $$$$$

ROMANETTE/PACIFIC PRIDE: Both are exiting the Pedaltothemedal race which will turn out to be a big key race, Romanette finished third, a head in front of Pacific Pride, both will be very live next time out.
