FAIRPLEX (opened Fri. Sept.10th)

OAKTREE at HOLLYWOOD PARK (opens Wed. Sept. 29th)

STAR PRESENCE: Almost ran down the odds on lone speed Indian Gracey, this 2yo filly looks like a big time prospect for trainer Baffert and will be a good single next time out going long.

CAN’T TOPPER: Has some ability but just has not been able to find the winners’ circle lately but now goes to the barn of William E Morey who may have a race or two at Golden Gate in mind, so look for this girl to show up at the Gate.

CANDID RIDE: Just another one of those Candy Ride 2yo for Sadler, this girl woke up big time in here and can’t wait to see her run on the grass. $$$$$

TELL A KELLY: Was exiting our HTW list and running in the Grade 1 Debutante and if you happened to watch this performance all you can say is WOW! She was in tight at the start, she then split horses when making her run but had to wait and check off heels while being boxed in, she came out for room into the stretch but was checked off heels again and came wider but got bumped hard; she stormed to the front and won by more than four lengths while under a hand ride in an amazing performance for a 2yo filly. This girl is headed to the BC Juvenile. $$$$$

NEXTDOORNEIGHBOR: Once a candidate for the Kentucky Derby he showed up in this 6 furlong race and ran a much better than looked race, this was a very good prep for bigger things.

RICKETYRACKETYRUSS: Was making her first start and hopped at the start, she settled nicely and made a big late move splitting horses at the wire as she was one of three on the line for the place money but lost the bob and had to settle for fourth. She was claimed for $62,500 out of this race by top trainer John Sadler who doesn’t make many mistakes. $$$$$

BRIDGING: Comebacker could not run down the lone speed in this race but looked super on the track and this race did him a ton of good, he looks set to go long.

PRICE: Was last seen winning at Hollywood Park back in December, he came back running here and stormed home for an easy win while under a tight hold as he looked like he wanted to go around again; this one will show up at Hollywood and will be a very good single. $$$$$

SWEETLY PEPPERED: Was listing at 20-1 on the morning line but took some action in this her first try going long on the grass, she battled tooth and nail until the top of the stretch and then just drew away like a good thing at 14-1, she can come back and repeat.

FUNI ACT: Looked good in this spot but got pinched back and was forced to steady off heels, he then shifted widest of all on the second turn and five wide into the stretch but came flying late for the show dough, next time no mistakes.

GRANDINO: Was listed at 15-1 on the morning line but this first time starter got bet down to 5-1 at post, she hesitated at the start to be last; she then was making up ground but had to steady off heels, she then saved ground and made a nice late turn picking up the place money in what was a very good effort.
