OAKTREE at HOLLYWOOD PARK

NIKKI’S CURFEW: Was last seen here at Hollywood in November of ‘09 but just looked great on the track and she was bet down to the post time 5-2 chalk, she ran a winning race but just had no shot at running down the lone speed. $$$$$

BLUE MAIDEN: This was the easiest of wins in the 1 1/16 turf route as the jock just took hold late, this was a great prep for something bigger in the very near future.

ZENIDEKKA: Hesitated at the start to be last and far back and her race was over but she never gave up and was picking up horses late as she angled out into the stretch and made a nice run to be fourth in what was a very game try, with a good start next time out she will be very hard to beat. $$$$$

DIXIE CROSS: Was exiting our HTW list and won as much the best while under a hand ride and a long hold late, this guy has some big time talent and will move up and repeat, good single material next time out.

THE BAT SIGNAL: If you are a subscriber, you would have gotten this guy on my daily horse releases and collected $31.40 for the win and the $116.40 two dollar exacta, this guy likes it here and can come right back and score again at what could be another good price.

SALTY SARAH: Was last seen here at Hollywood back in May when running up the track, she took some good action today and actually had a length and a half lead down the lane but could not hold off the 9-5 chalk, she was red tagged by trainer Baffert so look for her in the winners’ circle next time out as she will be a much tighter filly.

UNIVERSAL PEACE: Was exiting our HTW list and scored an impressive victory at 5-2 despite being steadied hard at the start after being squeezed back to last, we will keep this War Chant gelding on our list as he can come right back and score again going long on the grass.

HELLO SUGAR: First time starter out of the Marty Jones barn took plenty of action and went off as the 5-2 second choice but won like even money despite some early trouble, this filly can move right up the ladder.

BAD BOY: Trainer Julio Canani lost this gelding a while ago but reclaimed him and now has him back in top form, once in form he can rattle off several wins in a row and we will string along. $$$$$

DON TITO: Calder invader who landed in the care of trainer John Sadler showed a lot of grit when gutting out a nice half length win, he has the looks of a nice up and comer for trainer Sadler.

WILD HOMBRE: Just put this guy on your horses to single list, this first time starter broke out and was steadied hard while getting bumped at the break, he was trying to pull the jock out of the saddle while caught down on the rail and had to be steadied again on the turn when trying to lug out, he lost several lengths but somehow got going again and came back on to finish second. $$$$$

GOLDEN GATE FIELDS

NOMEZZIN THEMAVEN: First time starter was let go at 16-1, she got pinballed at the start and took to the inside, she made up ground late and was gaining on the winner with every big stride finishing second by a half length while more than two lengths clear of the rest.

GATHERATTHEALTER: Was trying the grass for the first time and took to it like a duck to water pulling away late despite a wide trip, look for the move up and another big run.

CARBONITE: Was last seen running at the Big A back in ’09, he gave a good account of himself in this allowance race and will be set for the win next time out.

CONGRESS WOMAN IVY: Was 8-1 on the morning line and a release here on the website but got bet down to 3-1 at post time but was an easy winner, trainer Steve Sherman has this girl in top form, look for her to win another.
