HOLLYWOOD PARK

YOU BETTOR BEWARE: Was down on the rail and battled it out on the front end, but had little left for the stretch run. If he gets an outside post next time and can clear early could be long gone at a double digit price.

RUSSIAN RIVER: Went on the vets list after finishing up the track on Feb. 6 at Santa Anita. She came back in this spot and made short work of these 25k claimers at even money. Looks like a mare who loves this cushion track. Whatever was wrong with her has been fixed.

SWISS GEM: Was last seen at Del Mar on Aug. 28 when finishing seventh, but that ended up to be a key race. This 3yo filly had a ton of late run after hopping at the start and being steadied. Just missed the show dough, while more than two lengths in front of the fifth place finisher in this field of 12. $$$

CHOKECHERYMARY: Was exiting the Screaming Regal race and Screaming Regal just missed by a nose two races earlier on the card in the Melair. This filly looked to have a solid shot at a big price with Chantal Sutherland but the gates opened before she was fully in the stall. The assistant starter was standing right in front of her and she was declared a nonstarter. Will come back running at a big price next time out. $$$$$

SCREAMING REGAL: If you saw this race you may have wanted to make a bet. This filly caught the winner on the line at 11-1, but she came up a nose short. Still, her explosive finish was a sight to behold in coming from last in a flash. $$$$$

NINTH INFANTRY: I just hate when this happens as I had this filly circled on my sheet all day and with a minute to post she was 15-1 so I took my shot. When they left the gate she was still 15-1. She broke perfectly, got down on the inside and into a good stalking position behind the fast speeding Jax El. Made her move turning for home and just blew them away, but when I looked at the final odds she was 9-1. That just blew me away.

PEDALTOTHEMEDAL: I loved this filly last year when she was a speedball, but she came back as a 3yo and showed her maturity. She sat off the hot pace and won clear at the end in a super effort for a filly that had been off since last July. $$$$$

BIG TIZ: Exits the same race as Pedaltothemedal and she also was making her first start as a 3yo. Last raced on Dec. 10 of last year. Ran a big time second behind Pedaltothemedal while more than four lengths clear of the rest. $$$$$

GOLDEN GATE FIELDS

CINNAMON GLO: First time starter shot out of the gate but just could not keep up with the odds on Baze horse. Finished third in a much better than looked effort at 29-1. If able to clear early next time out she will be gone.

MANA WINDS: Was right in the thick of things, but had to be steadied hard off heels and lost several positions. Still made a little late run picking up the show dough. Looks ready to break his maiden.

SASSY SUE: First time starter was squeezed at the start, she got out to make her run but was caught behind a wall of horses into the stretch and was bumped and checked hard, she than found an opening and shot threw it like a bullet and just stormed home winning by more than three lengths. $$$$$

HARD HEARTED LADY: First time starter was bet like a good thing in this 20k maiden claimer and won easy. Look for her to be placed in a starter allowance race and repeat going long on the grass.

CASUAL OBSESSION: Was boxed in while down on the rail behind the leaders for much of the backstretch. Got out late and picked up the pace money.
