MIZDIRECTION: Was exiting a good effort in March against Home Sweet Aspen and Temptation Bound and was trying the grass in her second lifetime start. Was bet down to the odds on 70 cents on the dollar chalk and just freaked – winning by more than 11 lengths while under a hand ride. This filly looks to have big things coming up on the grass and will be a nice single next time out. $$$$$

MADERA CASTANA: Chilean import was 20-1 on the morning line, but took a ton of early and late action. Left the gate at 7-1. Was pulling early wanting to be let loose, but the jock took hold and was dead last until the half mile pole. Unleashed a huge late run and flew late, but came up ¾ of a length short in an outstanding effort.

ERBEIA: Was exiting the race with First Dude, who came back and won a big stakes event at Churchill Downs the day before. Also exiting the race was odds-on Kevlar Kid who went wire to wire, Erbeia made a strong late run and was closing with every stride to finish clear second.

SIMPLY CARINA: Ran at Saratoga last July. Trainer Neil Drysdale placed her in this straight maiden race going 11/16 on the grass. She went right to the front and just did fail to hold off the 9-5 chalk by a nostril. Was more than five lengths clear of the rest. Will be very tough to beat next time out.

DIME: Bobbled at the start and then was sent between horses. Was in tight and never got untracked after that. Toss this race and give him a shot to rebound.

LORD VRONSKY: Wanted to run so bad, but got stuck down on the rail and was just a hand full for jockey Chantal Sutherland to handle. She had to take him up several times with no place to go. Once Chantal found room she ran his heart out but that early trouble just took too much out of him. Next time out with a clean trip. $$$

CHINESE PRAISE: Was trying the grass for the first time and ran ok despite a ton of trouble. May like the main. If switched back in his next start we will be betting.

SMASH: Was one of two comebackers in this race. The winner Coil was the other who got the jump on Smash down the lane. Got in tight and had to take up into the turn. Finished a clear second some nine lengths better than the rest. Will be a solid single next time out.

MIAMI HOUSE: Was 6-1 on the morning line. If you are at the Gate watch the bet down. Was 3-1 at post. He made a shotgun move from last to first, but failed to hold. Was six lengths clear of the rest.

TJ’S PASSION: First time starter was 6-1 on the morning line and bet down to 5-2 at post. Won like the money dictated going a flat mile on the grass .Could come back and repeat.

MORNING FOG: Was also a bet down in the same race as TJ’s Passion, but he was slow at the start giving up at least seven lengths to the rest. Made a big mid race run and finished mid pack in what was a great effort.

SURFER DAVE: Needed this race off the layoff. Will be set for his best next time out going long on the grass. $$$

STEALTH ATTACK: Ran huge off the layoff and was closing in with every stride on the winner. No mistake for this one next time ou
