This maiden is just sitting on the win but may need either 5½ or 6 furlongs to get it done. In his last start he came flying down the lane to finish a half length short, but was more than three clear of the rest.

KAYCE ACE: Just ran huge off the layoff when away from the hot pace. Made a late surge to get up for the win. This filly has some big talent and can go right to the top or sit. A must use in all the exotics.

ULTIMATE EAGLE: Had an outside trip the entire race, but continued his run into the stretch and kept gaining till the end. Finished a close third almost nine lengths clear of the fourth place finisher. He may want to go long.

BALLESTERO: 8k claimer really wanted to be let loose but his jock took hold behind the front runner. Could not run that one down at the end, but finished a clear second. I love it when trainer Mike Mitchell claims these type of horses. He has a knack of moving them up the ladder. We will be all over this one next time out. $$$

MADEOFTHERIGHTSTUFF: First time starter for trainer Bruce Headley was going 6 furlongs on the grass and took plenty of action to be sent off as the second favorite. Broke slow but settled nicely as he started to make his run three wide into the stretch. Angled to the far outside losing several lengths. Came flying home to run second beaten by less than a length in a big time effort. Look for Chantal Sutherland to get this one home on top next time out. $$$$$

WARNING SONG: This gelding looks to be really coming around. This was his third start in the States and he was taking the blinkers off. Responded with a big win while under a long hold late by Gomez as he seemed like he wanted to go on. Look for the move up and another score. $$$

ROUSING SERMON: If you were a subscriber to you would have gotten this first time starter along with the second place finisher. The $2 exacta paid a nice $48.20. This colt ran big and will get better as the distances get longer. A must watch.

HOTSTEPPER: Ran a winning race, but just failed to hold off the 2-1 favorite at the line on the bob. If he can clear early next time out he will be long gone. Looks to be a good single in the picks.

BERG BAHN: Has been up against some good ones since arriving here from Ireland for trainer Paddy Gallagher. She was coming off a seven month layoff but ran to be one of three heads on the line. Got the show dough and looks set for the win next time out.

GUEST STAR: Was going long for the first time in this his third lifetime start. She was far back but made a big wide run down the lane and flew home to finish third. With this race under his belt he will be very hard to beat next time out. $$$

DIAMOND TOUCH: At one time it was the hook up of Hollendorfer and Baze. The price was low but there were a lot of winners. Jockey Russell rode this gelding for Hollendorfer and he did a real good job getting him up for the win at 4-1. This was his fourth win from five rides for Jerry. Keep an eye open for this hook up.
