HOLLYWOOD PARK
D’PRINCESS: Peter Miller first time starter hopped and was bumped hard at the start. The rider almost lost his iron, but this gutty 2yo filly kept her cool to finish a game third.
SONGFOYA: Was last seen running up the track at Del Mar last August, but he came back running in this 6½ furlong 16k claimer. Just did fail to last getting bobbed on the line at almost 10-1. Look for him to go wire- to-wire in his next start with this race under his belt.
BAUBLE QUEEN: This 3yo filly was well bet in her first two races at Santa Anita running a nice second in her initial start. Never got into the race in second as the 2-1 chalk back in January. She broke slow but quickly got into a good position and made a quick three wide run. Just freaked as she drew away while under a long hold by the jockey. This filly has some talent and could come right back and score.
EX LOVER: Trainer Jeff Mullins looked to have this filly ready to roll off the layoff, going a mile on the grass. She ran a bang up race finishing a close third. Will be hard to beat next time out going this distance on the grass.
TIZ GIANNI: This colt was far back in this 11/8 turf route for straight maidens, but just came flying late. Finished second, losing by less than a length. Looks to be sitting on the maiden breaker. $$$
CHLOE W: This first time starter was taking her shot in the Cinderella Stakes and just ran a great race. Finished a game second behind the odds on Killer Graces. She will be hard to beat next time out.
WILLA B AWESOME: Just finished third behind Chloe W in the Cinderella Stakes. She broke slow and chased inside. Came off the rail on the backstretch and was angled to the outside making a four wide run down the lane. Had too much work to do in this 5½ furlong sprint.
WARRENS MO MONEY: First time starter had no shot at running down the lone even money speed in this 4½ furlong sprint for 2yo fillies. She ran a winning race, finishing second almost four lengths clear of the rest. Look for her to get an easy win next time out.
VIA VERDE: Is a very hard hitting turf sprinter who has been unlucky in his last two starts. Was a very troubled closing fourth in first start and a troubled second behind the tough Get Funky in the other. He now goes to trainer John Sadler who claimed him for 25k. Sadler will get a quick return on his investment. $$$
TRES BORRACHOS: Came back running off the layoff for trainer Marty Jones. This back classer got a lot out of this 7 furlong race against some good horses finishing a game third at almost 17-1. He will be a solid price play next time out.
DUKE OF ASPEN: Always gives his best from off the pace and is a must use in the exotics. Could get the win if able to find a field with a fast early pace to set up late run.
