LIBBY: First time starter for trainer Molly Pearson chased between horses on the backstretch but lost several positions when angling in. Came on strong to finish a clear third more than two lengths clear of the rest and just missing the place by a dwindling 1/2 a length. $$$

VOLKONSKY: Is in top form and his last win here on the 21st of August was top shelf for this 25k level. Was claimed out of the win by trainer Kristin Mulhal. We would love to see this gelding one more time before meets end as he has shown a real liking for the poly track.

COCABELLA MYST: Was exiting our HTW list and got off at a nice 8/1 in this 20k maiden claimer. She had a horrible trip as she had to come out for room leaving the turn but was blocked off heels into the stretch. Split rivals to finish a game 5th just missing the show dough by 3/4 of a length. On our ready to win list.

PRESSURE TIME: Really liked this one in here especially when let go at 6/1. Was in a good stalking position while between horses but lacked room off heels leaving the turn and had to take up. Going good late to finish fourth but would have been much closer without the trouble. He now moves to the Hess barn, look for the quick return and the win.

HURRICANE LAKE: In this 1 1/16 race for 20k claimers he was five wide into the turn and continued outside. Was five wide into the stretch but continued to rally just missing the win by less then a length. Will get there next time out with a better trip.

BURNING ARCH: Talk about a filly who knows what she likes and she loves this Del Mar turf course. Got the maiden breaker here on July 19th and came right back to win this level one allowance race going away. Trainer Hollendorfer has always been high on her as he put her in the Grade 3 Senorita when still a maiden. This $440k purchase is starting to really get it. Will probably be facing stakes company in the near future. $$$$$
