Santa Anita

Race 8

No. 2

STARRY SKIES: Marty Jones first time starter was steadied in an awkward beginning and was far back in this 6 ½ furlong down hill turf sprint. Was six wide into the stretch and stormed home for the win going away under a Rosario hand ride in a remarkable effort. $$$

Race 10

No. 3 G’NIGHT: Was taking his second shot at sprinting on the grass. His first wasn’t much on the 6 furlong Hollywood course back in December. Running out of the 1 post really is not the place to be when going down the hill, but he did have Rosario in the irons. He took plenty of action but looked cooked when fanned eight wide into the stretch. Somehow this horse came back on and got the win by a half length in what was a super effort.

Golden Gate

Race 2

No. 3 CAMELSOUL: Tim McCanna comebacker was last seen at Emerald Downs last August, but came back running here when closing like a freight train finishing full of run. She will be one tough cookie next time out. $$$

Race 4

No. 3 MAYBETUESDAY: Santa Anita invader sat back off the pace until the second turn when he looked ready to roll. Was blocked and steadied hard from the five sixteenths to just inside the quarter. Made a furious late run exploding down the lane, but had too much ground to make up. Lost by ¾ of a length just flying by the winner past the finish line. Tuesday was much the best in this race and will be a good single next time out. $$$$$
