Horses to Watch Alert at Hollywood Park
Race 2 No. 2 RIGHT ON RENEE: First time starter for trainer Melody Conlon took plenty of action at the window. Was bumped hard at the start and got off to a slow start. She was next to last in this field of 10 and moved up quick to be in contention while down on the inside. Got out for room down the lane while between horses and made a nice late run to pick up the place money. A big time effort for this first time starter.
Race 6 No. 8 CHOKECHERYMARY: Was exiting the Screaming Regal race and Screaming Regal just missed by a nose two races earlier on the card in the Melair. This filly looked to have a solid shot at a big price with Chantal Sutherland but the gates opened before she was fully in the stall. The assistant starter was standing right in front of her and she was declared a nonstarter. Will come back running at a big price next time out. $$$$$
