Race 4

No. 1 RICSPRETENTIOUSGAL: This maiden filly was making her third start and first going long. Really wanted to run, but the bug boy Eswan Flores took hold in a duel between horses. Looked like she was done, but swung out down the lane and was making up ground on the winner with every stride. Came up a half length short, but a very good learning experience. She will be hard to beat next time out. $$$

Race 7

No. 4 OBVIOUSLY: Irish bred for trainer Mike Mitchell was going down the hill in a 6 ½ furlong sprint on the grass and showed good early speed. Battled head to head until the top of the stretch when fanned four wide. Came on again getting to the front but failed to hold off the 7-5 chalk in an outstanding performance. $$$$$
