No. 4 SO TEMPTED: Interesting that this filly has been running for a 16k price tag in her last two races, but there were no claims in. She now was in for 25k and was claimed by the sneaky Julio Canani who must have seen something he really likes about this gal. Needs a very patient ride. The two times Joe Talamo rode her he wanted to gut to the lead, which did not work.
No. 7 AKKADIAN: Broke slow in this 1 1/16 turf route and was way back in last. At the top of the stretch he made a huge late run under Martin Garcia picking up the place. Just missed the win by a half length in what was an outstanding effort. Upgrade horses that Martin Garcia rides as he is on a tear since trainer Bob Baffert gave him his walking papers.
No .8 ATTICUS JACK: Was last seen winning at Fairplex last September. Came out running today and would have won except for the huge performance from Rauschenberg.
No. 2 DESORMAIS: Well regarded 3yo colt was making his second start in the U.S. His first was a next to last place finish in the Cash Call at Hollywood last December. Made a big late run in this mile race and it should set him up for the win next time out.
